We meet in the United Reformed Church Hall in Newland Street, Witham, between 8:00 and 10:00pm on Wednesday evenings (see map below). There are plans afoot to redesign and refurbish some of the accommodation in the Centre during the coming months. A proposed kitchen refit may affect our routine for our coffee break at some point.
The club committee members take it in turns to organise the programme for each evening, and on the first Wednesday of each month tuition is provided by Catherine Rowe (an RSCDS qualified dance instructor). The dances which we do each week are usually selected from the programmes for forthcoming social dances in the local area. Anyone is welcome to attend the classes, regardless of age or experience. So don’t worry if you’ve never danced before, because there are plenty of people who will be able to help you!
Annual membership of the Society costs just £50, and this allows you to attend as many evenings as you want to during the dancing year. Alternatively, if you prefer to “pay as you go”, each evening costs £3. The first evening you come to is free of charge.
